Cambridge Police arrested Jose Deleon, 56, 444 Pine Street in Boston, for stealing a 12-pack of beer from a local business in Central Square. Police were shown the video surveillance of the shoplifter and recognized him and knew where he spends his time. Police found DeLeon approximately 15 minutes after he left the store with the beer, two blocks away from the store. He is being charged with shoplifting by asportation.

A resident of Randolph was stopped on Main Street for Failing to Yield to a Pedestrian in the Crosswalk at the Red Line station. He was issued a Criminal Application for Operating a Motor Vehicle without a Driver's License, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle as well as Failing to Stop for a pedestrian in the Crosswalk. The vehicle owner was also issued a criminal application for allowing an Unlicensed Operator and allowing Operation of Motor Vehicle after Revocation of Registration.

UNLICENSED OPERATION OF MV C90 S10

GALILEI WAY
Cambridge Police arrested Henzo Tavares, 19, 54 Rosserte Street in Boston, for operation of a motor vehicle without a license and providing a false name or SSN following arrest. Uniform patrol officers in a marked cruiser observed a vehicle take an illegal right turn through a red light at the intersection of Galileo and Broadway. The vehicle almost struck two cyclists who were traveling through a green light in the marked bike lane. The officers conducted a motor vehicle stop for the violation. During the stop, the operator provided a name that was found to be false and later admitted to not having a license. The individual was in possession of a photo ID barring a different name and several credit cards belonging to various people. During the booking process, it was learned by fingerprinting that individual's true name was Tavares and he had a warrant out of Boston District Court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle lights violation.
