10th Annual Cycle to the Source

Cambridge Water Department (CWD) staff will host a 32-mile bike tour of the Cambridge Watershed, guided by Urban AdvenTours on Saturday, September 30, from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. This event is free and open to the public; advanced registration is required. For safety reasons, this event is for adults only. Priority for spots will be given to Cambridge residents and first-time participants.

The ride will start and end at the Walter J. Sullivan Purification Facility at 250 Fresh Pond Parkway, Cambridge. The ride enables participants to explore where City water comes from, how it is collected, and what steps are taken to ensure the City has clean drinking water. The tour will travel through the Cambridge watershed, spanning Lincoln, Lexington, Weston, and Waltham. It will include stops at the reservoirs, gatehouses, and CWD field office.
