Families enjoy hands-on activities, folk dance, live music, and craft demonstrations. Decorate a sugar skull, try a traditional snack, or design a message to place on the altar. Experience the customs that make this holiday a joyful celebration.
The 2015 main altar will feature folk art from Olinalá, Guerrero, selected and created by Mexican artist Javier González Rodriguez. Mr. González will be available to discuss the motifs and techniques that make the art of Olinalá world-renowned.
Free with museum admission; sugar skull craft $5 extra.
