Gallery Talk: Activation of Moholy-Nagy's Light Prop for an Electric Stage
12:30 PM - 1:00 PM Thursday, December 10, 2015
Location:
Harvard Art Museums, 32 Quincy Street Cambridge MA
Experience Bauhaus master László Moholy-Nagy’s Light Prop for an Electric Stage (1930) in motion. The Light Prop, also known as the Light-Space Modulator, is a pioneering device designed to produce a kaleidoscopic array of light effects. Although fragile, the Light Prop is still operational. It will be run briefly following an introduction by Robert Wiesenberger, the Engelhorn Curatorial Fellow in the Busch-Reisinger Museum.
Free with museums admission. This talk is limited to 15 people and tickets are required. Ten minutes before the talk, tickets will become available at the admissions desk.
