James Johnson, 62, of Cambridge was placed under arrest for Larceny from a Person and a warrant out of Boston District Court. Johnson was arrested after he stole a female's backpack outside of Massachusetts Ave. Johnson picked up the victim's backpack as she was turned around working at that location and walked away. It shall be noted that the backpack was in the direct vicinity of the victim as she was working. During the investigation, it was discovered that Johnson had an active warrant out of Boston District Court.

BANKS ST
Cambridge Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at Banks Street. One of the operators identified as Luke Danehy, 37, Cambridge, had glossy/ bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Due to this, Danehy was placed into custody for the following crimes: Speeding greater than reasonable and Operating under the Influence- Liquor.

Cambridge Police responded to Lincoln Way for a report of an armed robbery with a possible firearm. An employee was robbed after arriving home from work.
