Officers responded to the intersection of Cambridge Street and Windsor Street for a crash involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian. Upon our arrival we found a white SUV stopped on Windsor Street and a person being tended to by Pro EMS. A witness approached and stated he was standing on the corner of Windsor Street and Cambridge Street and witnessed the crash. He added that the involved car was crossing Cambridge Street on Windsor Street and was almost completely across the intersection when a man on a one-wheeled skateboard came down the bike lane and struck the side of the car.

A Cambridge resident was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery on a Party over 60 after he was observed by several construction workers grab a woman over the age of sixty and throw her down onto the ground, causing a head injury. He was transported to a local hospital for a medical evaluation following an investigation.

During the course of an active investigation, Wendell Sumerlin, 20, 118 Glenville Avenue in Allston, was stopped as a suspect in a series of locker room thefts at a fitness center in Cambridge. At this time, numerous victims came forwarded and reported that their secured gym lockers had been broken into and belongings were stolen in some cases. Sumerlin was later found to have two warrants for similar crimes. During a search of a backpack that Sumerlin had, three broken combination locks and a burglarious tool were located inside. As a result of this investigation, and in addition to being taken into custody on the two warrants, Sumerlin will be charged with three counts of Break into Depository, Possession of a Burglarious Tool, and three counts of Receiving Stolen Property under $1200.
