Police were flagged down in Central Square for a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver acknowledged driving forward after a light at Green Street and River Street turned green and not seeing the pedestrian step out in front of his vehicle due to a sun glare.

CARDINAL MEDEIROS AVE
A Cambridge Police officer was stopped in their cruiser at the intersection of Cardinal Medeiros Avenue and Hampshire Street. When the light turned green, a motorist operating a Volkswagon sped past the stop line then jammed its breaks in the intersection. The vehicle then proceeded right onto Cardinal Medeiros Avenue at a No Right on Red. When the vehicle was pulled over, it was found that the driver had an expired driver’s license. A Cambridge resident was given a Massachusetts Uniform Citation and summonsed for Failure to Stop and Unlicensed Operation.

Cambridge Police responded to Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a past motor vehicle crash. A bicyclist stated that an hour prior to filing the report, they were struck by a motorist at Mass Ave. and Upland Road. The bicyclist denied medical attention at the time of the report.
