A resident of Somerville was summonsed to court for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. This was a result of a traffic stop for failure to stop at red light at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Sixth Street.

Cambridge Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a cyclist. Upon arrival, Officers determined that the involved vehicle left the scene without providing their information to the cyclist. The cyclist reported pain in his arm and was transported to a hospital.

Cambridge Police responded to the area of Cambridge for a report of gunshots. One passerby stated hearing a vehicle backfire multiple times on Webster Avenue/Tremont Street.

TEMPLE ST
Syretta Copeland, 42, homeless, was placed under arrest for Trespassing and warrants out of West Roxbury and Roxbury Municipal Courts. Copeland was arrested after officer observed her on the property of a bank in a posted no trespassing area. When officers approached her, they pointed out the no trespassing signs and asked for her identification. She provided officers with two different social security numbers and a name and date of birth that didn't come back to anyone in Massachusetts or the Interstate Identification Index. When Officers explained that she needed to be identified for the no trespassing and she can be sent on her way, she stated officers need to arrest her to find that out. It shall be noted when Copeland was arrested, she refused to ID herself to the booking officers.
