Cambridge Police Officers were conducting a drug investigation in the area of Green and Franklin Streets. At which time, CPD officers observed an individual who was later identified as Lloyd Currier, 32, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge. Upon further investigation, Currier was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine. CPD Officers attempted to take Currier into custody. At which time, he actively resisted in an attempt to flee. After a struggle, Currier was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Class B Substance (crack cocaine) and Resisting Arrest. Currier also had three warrants for various charges including Possession of a Class B Substance, Receiving Stolen Property, and Assault and Battery on Ambulance Personnel.

A Cambridge man stated a dispute over the ownership of a ring led to a Boston woman throwing water on him and pushing his face with her hand. Although the parties are known to one another, there has never been a dating history between the two. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the victim and suspect. Both parties provided information for a report to be taken.
