On Tuesday October 10, 2023, at approximately 1:54 PM, Cambridge Police responded to Eighth Street for a reported overdose. After arriving on scene and contacting all involved parties, the patient was subsequently transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for further treatment/evaluation.

Police summonsed an individual for operating a MV with a suspended license (MGL 90/23), brake lights violation (MGL 90/7), and operating without an inspection sticker (MGL 90/20). Police observed the individual operating his vehicle on Massachusetts Avenue, a public way in the city of Cambridge with a taillight out. A query of the registration showed that the registered owner had a suspended license. After stopping the vehicle, a brief interaction revealed it was indeed the registered owner was operating the vehicle. Also, there was no valid inspection sticker for the vehicle, nor was the rejected inspection sticker displayed.
