SOMERVILLE AVE
Police responded to a business on the 800 block of Somerville Avenue for a report of a shoplifting in progress. According to the reporting party, the suspect had removed the theft protection devices on two sets of items and left the store. Responding Officers were able to locate the suspect across the street with the stolen merchandise. Crystal Dufault, 42, of Boston, was placed under arrest for an active warrant out of Waltham District Court and a warrant out of Quincy District Court. Dufault will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for Aggravated Shoplifting and Shoplifting by Asportation 3rd Offense.

Police on patrol observed an altercation and involving multiple individuals and one person may have been stabbed with a bamboo stick or pole. Ernest Phillips, 61, of Cambridge, was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct, Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Receiving Stolen Property.
