MBTA Orange and Green Line service to resume September 19

On Monday, September 19, MBTA service will resume on the Orange Line and on the Green Line between Government Center and Union Square. The last shuttle bus will depart at approximately 1 a.m. and the first Orange and Green Line trains will start service according to the usual schedule on Monday morning.

The MBTA closed the Green Line between Government Center and Union Square beginning Monday, August 22. The closure includes the portion of the Green Line connecting Government Center, Haymarket, North Station, Science Park, Lechmere, and Union Square. The entire Orange Line closed beginning on Friday, August 19 at 9 p.m.

For the past month, shuttle buses have replaced Green Line and Orange Line service along the closed routes.
