Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will not be affected and will remain on its regular schedule for this holiday. Regularly scheduled street cleaning routes for Friday, November 10 will be cleaned on Monday, October 30.

Pathway for Immigrant Workers (PIW) is a Cambridge-based nonprofit serving the Greater Boston area. PIW represents local employers who would not otherwise have the means to sponsor a minimum wage worker for a green card. PIW will assist low wage workers in employment-sponsored lawful permanent residence applications. After an initial assessment, if appropriate PIW will represent the employer in the immigration process.

The Halloween season offers a variety of fun events for children, youth and families across the City of Cambridge. Various city departments will be sponsoring Halloween events in Cambridge. For general Halloween safety, all kids are reminded to wear reflective colors, carry a flashlight when it gets dark, and use extra caution crossing streets. Young children should be accompanied by an adult or a responsible older kid. Additionally, Cambridge Police Officers will be out in various areas of the city engaging with people in the community who are out trick or treating.
The City of Cambridge will be hosting two final public meetings for the latest updated draft to the city’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. Both meetings will occur on Wednesday, October 25.
