The Massachusetts Vaccine Scheduling Resource Line at 2-1-1 is now available in English and Spanish and will have translators available to support residents in approximately 100 additional languages. Please call 2-1-1 and follow prompts to reach The Massachusetts Vaccine Scheduling Resource Line. Individuals ages 75 and older will be able to speak to a representative live on the phone to assist them with an appointment through the state’s online system.

As part of its allocation of funds through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the City of Cambridge established the Cambridge Nonprofit Recovery Fund to help address the financial hardship that the nonprofit sector faced because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible Cambridge non-profits can receive up to $150,000 for their organization. The online grant application is open until July 7, 2023.

The City of Cambridge Community Preservation Act (CPA) Committee will meet virtually on Wednesday, June 9, at 5:30 p.m. to receive project requests for FY22 funding. Each year, the CPA Committee recommends funding for affordable housing, historic preservation, open space, and recreation initiatives throughout the city. Beginning Monday, June 22, the City of Cambridge Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) will begin operating its annual Cambridge Summer Food Program and open applications for its free Online/Offline Summer Programming. Both programs will support and engage Cambridge youth while following the Commonwealth’s health and safety guidelines, including proper social distancing and use of face coverings.

In its ongoing efforts to identify ways to better serve the community, the City of Cambridge is conducting its biennial Resident Opinion Survey. The survey, which has been conducted since 2000, serves as an important evaluation tool that enables residents to rate City services and offer input on what the City of Cambridge does well and where it can make improvements. The online survey will be open September 14 – October 5, 2020.
