  Summer Reading: Bilingual Storytime (O'Connell)

  O'Connell Branch, 48 Sixth St., Cambridge, MA 02141

  Esther Gomez and Karina Liendo present "The Song of Chirimia," a Guatemalan folktale of young man who tries to win the hand of a Mayan princess by making his song as sweet as that of the birds. This bilingual storytime will be presented in Spanish and English and include arts and crafts for registered attendees. This program is recommended for children above 5 years and their caregivers. Registration is recommended. Funding for Summer Reading has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Cambridge Public Library and Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners

  Summer Reading: Mass Capoeira (Valente)

  Valente Branch, 826 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA 02141

  Mass Capoeira's performance will uplift the spirit and expose audiences to the magic of Afro-Brazilian art and culture. This program is recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. No registration required.   Summer Reading: Family STEAM Night (O'Neill)

  O'Neill Branch, 70 Rindge Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140

  Families with elementary school age children join us for hands-on activities focused on Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering, and Math. Adults and children will learn and play together! This month we will be making rain gauges. This activity is part of the CPL Nature Club!
