This form is for intake purposes only and does not indicate that the Cambridge Human Rights Commission has accepted this report as a complaint. Commission staff will be in touch with you to follow up on your submission. Please note that the Cambridge Human Rights Commission only has jurisdiction over complaints of discrimination that occurred in the City of Cambridge, and can only investigate alleged discriminatory acts that occurred within 180 days of the date that the complaint is signed. If you prefer not to use this form, Commission Staff will conduct an intake with you over the telephone or in person, by appointment.

Discrimination Types

If you feel you have been discriminated against in your search for housing, while living in your current housing, or in any housing related transaction, such as applying for a mortgage in Cambridge. Other situations may constitute housing discrimination, and the Commission's ability to investigate the matter will be assessed upon further discussion with Commission staff. For further explanation, refer to "What is covered by the Cambridge Fair Housing Ordinance in relation to Housing Discrimination?" in the Tips and FAQs section of the Human Rights Commission website.

Housing Denials

If you believe you have been discriminated against by a business, or a place open to the public in Cambridge. For further explanation, refer to "What is public accommodation discrimination?" in the Tips and FAQs section of the Human Rights Commission website.

If you believe you have been discriminated against in your place of employment, by a labor organization, or by an employment agency in Cambridge. For further explanation, refer to "What is employment discrimination?" in the Tips and FAQs section of the Human Rights Commission website.

If you believe you have been discriminated against by an educational facility in Cambridge. Some limitations apply, which can be discussed in more detail with Commission staff.
