LGBT Couple

The City of Cambridge LGBTQ+ Commission is dedicated to helping create and promote welcoming agencies for people across all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions. LGBTQ+ older adults in particular as they access housing and healthcare mainstream services are in need of places that allow them to be safe and affirmed in their identities, so they can age with dignity, respect, and receive proper care. 

The new Best Practices Guide is an informational story map that allows anyone: healthcare and housing professionals, older adults, caregivers, etc. to understand the needs of LGBTQ+ older adults, as well as how to support them in small, key ways that make a huge impact and difference.
