How To Apply/ Renew
The City of Cambridge has introduced an On-Line Permitting System. Currently, it is available to contractors and food establishments applying for permits through the Inspectional Services Department.
Everyone who wishes to use the system to apply for permits or renew existing permits must be a registered user. To become a registered user click on the On-Line Permitting System link and click on "Register" on the grey toolbar on the homepage. Upon approval of your registration, you will receive an email informing you that your account has been set up. Your login will be the email address that you submit at time of registration. Please write down the email address and the password you provided to have it available for future use.
All permits may be submitted through our On-Line Permitting System from your office or home. You will find that the system is user friendly and convenient. Some permits will need to be paid upon submission and others, such as building permits, will require payment after pre-approval process is completed. For those of you who would like the convenience of applying on-line and paying by credit card (2.5% convenience fee) or web check (ACH $2.00 flat fee), but do not have a computer available to them, computers will be available in the lobby for public use for this purpose.
