ALEWIFE BROOK PKWY
Matthew Healy-Baker, 36, Halifax, was arrested for Shoplifting by Asportation after he was observed by a pharmacy employee taking a large bag of items (later recovered and valued around $43.80) out of the store without paying. Officers apprehended Healy-Baker approximately one block away while he was attempting to flee the scene and recovered the stolen goods.

PUTNAM AVE
Cambridge Police responded to Putnam Avenue for a report of a possible breaking and entering in progress. A male party was walking around in the resident’s kitchen. A possible identification was obtained after their belongings were left behind.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
ECC dispatched CPD to a pharmacy on the 1700 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a basement emergency exit door alarm. Upon CPD arrival, Officers discovered an unlocked back alley door leading to the basement of the pharmacy. CPD searched the building and found three individuals: Shayne Lacorte, 30, 56 Harriet Street in Brighton, Deena Lacorte, 29, 56 Harriet Street in Brighton, and Taylor Lacorte, 32, 76 Albany Street in Boston, coming from the upstairs commercial part of the store. The Lacorte's had multiple bags filled up with various belongings at the back entrance of the building, but it is unclear if anything was stolen from the store. All three suspects were placed under arrest for breaking and entering in the nighttime for a misdemeanor, as well as possession of a class A substance after heroin and crystal meth were located on their possession.

BROOKLINE ST
Cambridge Police observed a male on a bike carrying a propane tank on Memorial Drive. Upon investigating, it was suspected that the bike and tank were stolen. Both items were seized, tagged and brought to the station and stored in the property office pending an investigation. The male was identified.

A man was reportedly located unconscious outside his vehicle by a passerby who called 911. Upon arrival on scene police located the victim, Xavier Louis-Jacques, 19, Cambridge, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the area of the Rindge baseball field and the basketball courts located on Pemberton Street. The victim was treated on scene and transported to Mount Auburn Hospital where he later died.An active and ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting is being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney's Office, Cambridge Police and State Police Detectives assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.

MEMORIAL DR
Cambridge Police arrested Patrick Graustein, 32, 444 Harrison Avenue in Boston, for trespassing. Police were called to a hotel for a report of a person trespassing. Police discovered the defendant sleeping in a room that was supposed to be vacant, according to the hotel manager. The hotel manager informed officers that the defendant had also never been a registered guest and requested him be trespassed and leave the premises. The defendant was informed that he was not welcome at the hotel and needed to leave. The defendant refused to leave and was placed under arrest by police.

HARVARD ST
Cambridge Police were dispatched for a larceny in progress at Harvard and Prescott Street. Witnesses stated that they observed a male party dressed in a grey sweatshirt and sweat pants breaking the holding straps on the bike rack attached to a vehicle, then taking two bicycles off the rack and begin to walk towards Harvard Square. On arrival, Officers located Michael King, 37, 163 Belmont Street in Weymouth, wearing a grey sweatshirt and sweat pants, sitting on the sidewalk approximately 10 feet from the vehicle with two bicycles in his possession, attempting to break the locks binding them together. When asked where he got the bicycles, King stated that he took them off the back of previously stated vehicle. King was found to also have a warrant out of Quincy District Court for Larceny Over $1,200 and Defacing Property.
