The Cambridge Police Central Square walking unit was dispatched to Pearle Street on a directed patrol. Officers encountered a person that set up an encampment underneath a building overhang. The officers advised that encampments are prohibited in this location and the person was instructed to move. Officers provided alternative shelter options, but the person declined. The person eventually packed up their belongings and moved out of the area without incident. A report was taken.
