Cambridge Police Investigate Alleged Sexual Assault

CAMBRIDGE, MA, October 26, 2023 -- The Cambridge Police Department is investigating a reported sexual assault that occurred on September 23, 2023, between the hours of 11pm and 12:30am. The incident was reported to the police this past weekend. A woman told police she was approached by an unknown male in the Harvard Square area and followed her into the Lesley University campus when the male sexually assaulted her in the area of St. John’s Road.

The Cambridge Police Department is working with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office to identify the suspect believed to be around Lesley University or Harvard Square during that time frame. The suspect is described as a 30–40-year-old male, believed to be Black, with brown eyes, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build. He is believed to have poor hygiene, facial hair and was possibly riding a scooter.
