Cambridge Police Department Promotes 11 Members to Lieutenants and Sergeants
The Cambridge Police Department announced the promotions of 11 members to Lieutenants and Sergeants on April 1, 2024. At a ceremony held in the Sullivan Chamber at Cambridge City Hall, City Manager Yi-An Huang and Police Commissioner Christine Elow promoted five members to Lieutenants and six to Sergeants.

During the selection process, each candidate shared their passion for their line of work and why they are committed to their new management roles. Police Commissioner Christine Elow told the new supervisors and their families, who gathered for the ceremony, that this is an exciting time because we are seeing the future of our police department. “Policing is complex and challenging,” said Elow. “You will all be shaping our efforts in different ways depending on your assignment.”
