Cambridge Police Department Hosts Buddha’s Light International Association (BLIA) Scout Group

The Scouts learned about fingerprinting and the different equipment police use to do their job. The older Scouts also watched how police use a scenario-based simulator to create high pressure situations for training purposes. Deputy Superintendent Buckowe Yam says community events like this are all about creating connections that are built on respect and understanding. “For them to know what the police do and make the connection to the community is vital to our mission,” said Yam.
Faith & Blue and Creating Connections are based on the premise when everyone works together, neighborhoods thrive.
