The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) has officially welcomed two new Deputy Superintendents to the department’s leadership team. During a ceremony on Friday, February 7th David Brown and Michael Logan were sworn-in to their new ranks in front of family members, friends and colleagues.
Deputy Superintendent Brown has served with the CPD for 21 years after having began his law enforcement career with the Arlington Police. During his time with the CPD he has worked in both the Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Section. Most recently, he had served as the Detective Lieutenant overseeing night operations within the Criminal Investigation Section. In his new role, Deputy Brown will remain in Support Services as the Deputy Superintendent for Administration.
Deputy Superintendent Logan has worked in law enforcement for 29 years, beginning his career with the Belmont Police, and also working with the Newton Police, before he joined the CPD nearly 20 years ago. Deputy Superintendent Logan has held numerous positions within the department, notably with the Patrol Division, Professional Standards Unit, and Criminal Investigation Section. Most recently he served as a Lieutenant working as a Shift Commander for Night Shift Patrol Operations. In his new role, Deputy Logan with remain in Operations as the Deputy Superintendent for 3rd and 4th Night Patrol Platoons.
The CPD congratulates both Deputy Superintendents on their promotions and wishes them continued success in their new positions.
