Clinical Support Unit

The Cambridge Police Department’s Clinical Support Unit is managed by the Director of Clinical Support Services, a licensed psychologist, and includes two licensed social workers, a case manager, a co-responder, a Community and Strategic Partnerships Coordinator and clinical interns.

The CSU assists vulnerable members of the Cambridge community who are referred by police officers and/or via the criminal legal system.  The CSU works closely with its community partners to connect these individuals to needed services and resources.  The CSU also works to foster positive youth development and limit youth involvement in the juvenile justice system via the Department’s Safety Net Collaborative
