The Cambridge Commission on the Status of Women (CCSW) is a City department whose mission is to ensure equity for women and girls in all economic, social, political, and educational opportunities throughout the city. Established in 1977, CCSW works to promote equity for all women and girls by advocating on their behalf to other City departments, officials, and local organizations. Our purpose is to increase opportunities for women and girls through policy recommendations and program development. Additionally, we work to build public awareness on key issues affecting women and girls.
