Zing Laser Cutting 101 (Main)

Learn how to use our Epilog Zing—an industry-standard laser cutting machine. Complete this workshop to earn a badge for the Zing laser cutter. With a badge, you can reserve the Epilog Zing to use on our equipment booking page at designated times. Note: The Epilog Zing laser cutter and Glowforge laser cutter require separate trainings. You must participate in the Glowforge workshop in order to operate our Glowforge Pro laser cutter. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.

Before taking this workshop: Complete Hive Safety Training Create a free Tinkercad account at www.tinkercad.com You will get hands-on experience running the 3D printer, gain fundamental 3D modeling skills using Tinkercad, and earn your 3D Printing badge for future reservations in The Hive. Celebrate World Oceans Day with Delilah the Whale (O'Neill)

People of all ages can go inside of a lifesize inflatable whale! Registration is required and will begin May 24. This program will happen outside. In case of rain or bad weather it will be in the gym of the Peabody School. Starting May 24, please sign up at the following website to reserve your 15-minute time slot to interact with Delilah the Whale! Each person attending (of any age) must sign up individually. https://form.jotform.com/240895659754071 More information: Delilah is a life-sized inflatable North Atlantic right whale! Her measurements are based off of a real whale who lived along the East coast in the US and Canada.
