Baby Lapsit (Main)

Just for you and the baby! Enjoy time together with other parents, caregivers and babies to learn, play, and develop language and motor skills. Designed for babies 0 to 18 months. Come prepared to sit on the floor one-on-one with your baby in your lap. This program can accommodate 15 babies and their caregivers. Put on your dancing shoes and head over for a morning of singing and dancing! We'll sing and move together, and maybe share a story or two. For children of all ages and their grown-ups. This program will take place in the Community Room at the Valente Branch Library. If the weather is particularly fine, the program may move outside to the Valente Reading Garden on Berkshire Street. Juneteenth Unlimited with Wee the People(O'Neill)

Get ready for a summer celebration of freedom and resilience with Juneteenth Unlimited! In this interactive workshop, we'll explore the story of Juneteenth, the oldest commemoration of the outlawing of slavery in the United States. Through stories, craft-making, and a Jubilee teach-in, we'll honor the joy and radical resistance of Black Americans then and now. Geared for ages 6 and older accompanied by an adult.
