      Innovators for Purpose (iFp) Studio is a youth-powered design and innovation program where young creatives channel their energy and creative vision to imagine and build a better world.     • Summer Reading: Juice and Jelly Funtime Band (Boudreau)

      Boudreau Branch, 245 Concord Ave., Cambridge, MA 02138

      The Juice and Jelly Funtime Band plays original music written for children and their families. Their songs are a bit folky, a little rock’n’roll, and even a tad educational! Come sing, dance, and laugh to songs about plants, animals, make-believe characters, and more. This program is recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. No registration required. Funding for Summer Reading has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Cambridge Public Library and Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners

    • Summer Reading: Fresh Pond Bug Walk (Boudreau)

      Boudreau Branch, 245 Concord Ave., Cambridge, MA 02138

      Have you ever wanted to know more about the little insect critters that live in our local ecosystems? Join CPL Nature Club at Fresh Pond's Lusitania Meadow for a short walk in which we observe and learn about this dazzlingly diverse class of animals. This program is open to all ages, from adults to children and their caregivers. Registration is required. Please register all attendees, including caregivers.     • Summer Reading: Wiggle Party (Valente)

      Valente Branch, 826 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA 02141

      Our usual weekly sing-along gets an upgrade - join us for a dance party to get your wiggles out! This program will take place in the Community Room at the Valente Branch Library.     • Summer Reading: Nintendo Switch Party for ages 7-9 (Main)

      Main Library, Curious George Room, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Join our Nintendo Switch party! We'll have two multiplayer games available to play on our library consoles. This program is for ages 7-9. There will be a Nintendo Switch Party for older kids in August. This program can accommodate 16 gamers. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The gamer must be present to receive a ticket. This program starts promptly, and any unclaimed spots will be offered to someone waiting. We appreciate your patience and understanding.       Come to the Library for games and a different activity each week! Kids of all ages can hang out and do crafts or STEAM activities. No registration required. This week we will celebrate the 2024 Summer Olympic Games by playing indoor and outdoor games.

      We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for a special evening story time event. This program will run for 20-25 minutes, with songs, stories and rhymes.     • Vinyl Cutting 101 (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Would you like to make your own vinyl signs, stickers, or images to transfer to T-shirts and other textiles? In this workshop, you can learn how to use our Roland Camm-1 GS-24 vinyl cutter. You can then design a sticker and cut it with our vinyl cutter! Registration is required. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.
