Summer Reading: Reading with Rabbits from Land's Sake Farm (O'Neill)

O'Neill Branch, 70 Rindge Ave., Cambridge, MA 02140

Learn about the rabbits that live at Land’s Sake Farm. This program includes a rabbit-themed story time, learning about rabbit behavior and anatomy, and an additional program: a bunny themed craft, game, or movement activity. The highlight of the program is the Bunny Circle, where youth are able to touch and interact with a live rabbit. This program will happen outside. In case of rain or bad weather it will be inside the O'Neill Branch. This program is for children of all ages with a caregiver. Registration is required. When registering, please indicate how many children are attending. Adults do not need to be included in the numbers for registration. Funding for Summer Reading has been generously provided by the City of Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library Foundation, Friends of the Cambridge Public Library and Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners

Summer Reading: Evening Story Time (Valente)

We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for a special evening story time event. This program will run for 25-30 minutes, with songs, stories and rhymes. No registration is required. Join our Nintendo Switch party! We will be using library consoles to enjoy multiplayer games. This program is for ages 7-10. This program can accommodate 16 gamers. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The gamer must be present to receive a ticket. This event has been moved indoors due to high temperatures. Join us at the Valente Branch Library (826 Cambridge St.) for STEAM activities for all ages! We will be using geometry to build tiny paper towns. In the case of rain, this program will be held inside in the Community Room at the Valente Branch.

Calling young adventurers! Ever wanted to learn how to play Dungeons and Dragons? Now's your chance! Patrons ages 9 to 13 can join us at the Valente Branch for an introductory session that will arm them with all the basic rules of the game.
