AMES ST
A Cambridge Police Officer in a marked patrol unit observed a vehicle traveling on a public way at a high rate of speed and discovered that this vehicle had been reported stolen in Malden. The officer caught up to this vehicle and attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop, but the vehicle failed to stop and took off at a high rate of speed. Another officer soon located the car in the middle of a roadway not far from where it had been last seen. A male was seen running from the car. Police soon located the male, identified as Antonio Valentin Rufo-Sanon, 18, 68 Moreland Street in Somerville, a few blocks from the incident. Upon identifying Rufo-Sanon, it was discovered that he did not possess a license to operate a motor vehicle. Rufo-Sanon was placed under arrest for Using a Motor Vehicle Without Authority, Failure to Stop for Police, Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Speeding.

Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Bishop Allen Drive and Norfolk Street for a vehicle with no inspection sticker. Further investigation revealed the registered owner and driver of the motor vehicle identified as Denzel Williams-Judge, 27, 27 Thornley Street in Dorchester, had a suspended driver’s license. Williams-Judge was taken into custody and charged with No Inspection Sticker, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.

MOTOR VEH, MALICIOUS DAMAGE TO C266 S28

BROADWAY
Cambridge Police arrested Abdisamad Abubakar, 46, 80 Holmes Avenue in Dorchester, for Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle. Police responded to Broadway for a report of a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle in progress. Upon arrival, officers discovered Abubakar in the street standing next to a motor vehicle and a metal lawn chair. Witnesses informed officers that they observed Abubakar strike the victim's motor vehicle with the metal lawn chair multiple times. The victim located fresh damage to the driver's side door of his vehicle caused by Abubakar striking it with the chair.
