Police responded to a business on the 500 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a disturbance. Officers were directed to a male party that had exposed his genitals to two store employees and defecated in an aisle on store products. When confronted by store employees, the male began flailing about knocking items from the shelves. Eric Girvids,65, of Jamica Plains was subsequently placed under arrest for vandalizing property, open and gross and lewdness, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and trespass.

Police arrested Richard Payne, 49, of Cambridge for Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise 3rd Offense after Payne was observed by employees concealing two items of clothing in his jacket and then exited the store without paying for the merchandise.

On-scene it was learned that a customer had attempted to pay for a drink with a $50 bill that was believed to be counterfeit. Officers identified the male as a Cambridge resident, they will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for Uttering a Counterfeit Note.

Police and Fire responded to the 200 block of Alewife Brook Parkway for a report of an unattended back pack. Cambridge EOD and K9 investigated the unattended bag pack that was located at the store exit doors. After a K9 sweep and proper investigation, the back pack was clear and found nothing harmful.

Officers arrived on scene and observed an individual holding a can of spray paint directly across from the painted fence where the call for service was needed.
