War Memorial Recreation Center

War Memorial Pool

The War Memorial Recreation Center, located at 1640 Cambridge St. Door 15, includes a Field House, multi-purpose room, gymnasium, weight room and 3 swimming pools. The War Memorial offers year-round programming for children and adults. From instructional swim classes to synchronized swimming, gymnastics to Kenpo Karate, children and youth can participate in classes that promise fun and skill-building. Adults can enjoy aqua aerobics, fencing, Middle Eastern Dance, Zumba, and more! 

Facility closures

The War Memorial Recreation Center will be closed Wednesday, June 19, Thursday, July 4, and from Saturday, August 17 - Monday, September 2. 

Summer 2024 Registration 

  • Registration for Summer 2024 programming and classes will open on Monday, June 17 at 5 p.m. for Cambridge residents
  • Registration for Summer 2024 programming and classes will open on Wednesday, June 19 at 5 p.m. for non-residents

Beginning June 24, the War Memorial Recreation Center will offer Adult Lap Swim and Family Swim Monday through Friday. View the Summer 2024 Pool Schedule. 

Online Registration

You can create an online account to register for War Memorial programming at any time. Please make sure your account information is accurate and up to date before you register for a class or program.

  • If you are a new user, select "Click to create an account" and complete the steps. 
  • If you are an existing user, select "Click to login." You will have options to rest your password if needed.

Completed registration forms can also be brought to the War Memorial's Front Desk (1640 Cambridge St., enter through Door 15). Cash, check, and credit card payment are accepted for walk-in registration.
