At approximately 2:30 a.m., Cambridge Police responded to a report of a stabbing on Hurley Street near Sciarappa Street in East Cambridge.
Officers arrived within a minute of the call and found a male victim on the sidewalk suffering from multiple stab wounds and immediately began to render first aid with the help of witnesses on scene. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Witnesses stated they heard arguing and yelling before the stabbing between males known to each other, and reported a suspect had fled the scene.
Additional responding officers apprehended the suspect after a foot chase.
Douglas Brioso, 18, of 264 Walden Street in Cambridge, MA was arrested and charged with Armed Assault to Murder and Resisting Arrest.
