The Cambridge Police Department is proud to support Cops for Kids with Cancer, an organization that gives money directly to families who are dealing with the challenge of having a child sick with cancer.
On Friday, October 18th, Cops for Kids with Cancer presented a 12 year old Cambridge resident and his family with a gift of $5,000 at the Robert W. Healy Public Safety Facility in Cambridge.
Myles Fairley, along with his mother and grandmother, were presented with the check by Robert P. Faherty, Chairman of the Board for the Cops for Kids with Cancer organization.
Also in attendance to meet and support Myles and his family were Cambridge Police Deputy Superintendent Jack Albert, Deputy Superintendent Joe Wilson, Lieutenant Pauline Carter-Wells, and Officers Brian Mushlin and Doug Murrell.
This is not the first time Cambridge Police have had the honor of helping to present much needed financial assistance to a Cambridge family in need. In June of this year, CPD had the honor of presenting a gift to the family of 4 year old Amanuel Bayll, and in October of 2012, CPD presented the Gonzales family with $5,000.
