The Cambridge Police Department is seeking donations for its annual Secret Santa for Seniors Gift Drive.  Donations will be accepted now through Friday, December 20th and gifts can be dropped off in the first floor Main Lobby of the Robert W. Healy Public Safety Facility located at 125 Sixth Street.

The holiday season is a joyous time of year for many people, but it can be lonely for senior citizens in our community who may not have family or friends to celebrate with.

Help the Cambridge Police Department put a smile on a senior’s face this year when they’re surprised with a holiday gift bag on Christmas Eve by donating an item to our annual Secret Santa for Seniors Gift Drive!

Suggested donations include:

  • Slippers
  • Puzzles
  • Gloves
  • Tea
  • Gift Cards

Cambridge Police rely solely on the generous donations from Cambridge businesses, community members, and Police Officers to assist us in providing this service.  It is our hope to brighten the day of seniors who may be lonely on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with a small gift that lets them know they are not forgotten.

Please contact the Cambridge Police Community Relations Unit at 617-349-3236 for more information or if you are interested in volunteering to help hand-deliver gift bags to seniors on the morning of December 24, 2013.
