Stephanie Varela, 22, of 22 Quincy St Somerville, MA was placed under arrest for two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and Alvin Mendez, 25, 120 Harvard St 4 Cambridge MA was placed under arrest for operating after suspension. Following a motor vehicle stop, Varela, a passenger in Mendez’s vehicle became irate and forcefully slammed the motor vehicle door striking a Police Officer. Once in custody, Varela aggressively kicked a Police Officer square in the chest while wearing a pair of hard soled shoes with a sharply pointed heel.

Kirk Burns, 48, of 17 Robinson St. Cambridge, MA had got into a verbal dispute with his mother and began swinging an axe violently in the air directly in front of his mother. Mr. Burns was subsequently arrested for Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (axe)/Domestic.
