A business on Brookline Street called to report that unknown person (s) contacted him via telephone seeking payment in the amount of $498.52. The victim reported that this was a scam as he does not owe any outstanding money to any utility company.

A Cambridge resident reported that he observed a suspicious person walk up to a residence. This resident notified police shortly after and an investigation showed that the apartment had been broken into by way of a forced front door. Multiple items were stolen from the residence.

Police responded to Thorndike St for a fight. Derrick Pannesi, 19, of 15 Foster Ct Medford, MA was arrested for a warrant out of Somerville District Court for larceny over $250.

During a traffic enforcement officers observed a motor vehicle make a U-Turn while crossing a double yellow line and causing traffic to back up. The operator, a Malden resident was summoned for the offenses of an improper U-Turn, failing to wear a seat belt and operating after suspension of license.
