Stabbing Outside Moksa Restaurant in Central Square; Suspect Arrested

At approximately 1:45 a.m. on May 3, Cambridge Police responded to the Moksa Restaurant on 450 Massachusetts Avenue in the Central Square area on a report of a physical altercation, which led to a stabbing of one victim and a hand laceration of another victim.

Upon their arrival, officers located two individuals fighting and a crowd of approximately 80-100 bystanders outside of the restaurant.  Multiple police units soon arrived on scene and assisted in breaking up the fight. After the crowd was dispersed, another fight broke out involving three males.  One male victim suffered multiple stab wounds to his lower back and another male victim suffered a laceration to their hand.  Both victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the subsequent investigation, Abdias Aime, 32, 48 Hancock Avenue, Medford, MA was arrested and charged with Affray and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Police believe that the stabbing was the result of an altercation between the victims and Aime prior to the stabbing and was not a random act.
