On the above date and time, Cambridge Police responded along with the Cambridge Fire Department to Binney Street on a report of a suspicious bag. The Cambridge Police bomb tech responded along with a bomb dog and the package was cleared.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE

WASHINGTON ST
Cambridge Police units responded to a residence on Washington Street for a report of a domestic assault between a married couple. Upon arrival, the responding officers could not gain access into the apartment. After exhausting all other options, Cambridge Fire Department was called to respond to the scene to assist in gaining entry to the apartment. Entry was made into the apartment through a second floor window. The involved parties were asleep together in the same room. After separating and interviewing both individuals, it was determined that a verbal domestic dispute had occurred. The dispute did not become physical and both parties confirmed this to the officers. 209A rights were advised to and declined by both individuals.

A resident at Western Avenue reported that, while her motor vehicle was parked in front of Kinard Street between 3 p.m. on 7/9/14 and 8:30 a.m. on 7/10/14, an unknown person(s) damaged her motor vehicle. It appears to have been done with a key or other tool.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
A criminal complaint was filed against a Boston resident after she was initially stopped for making an improper turn. She was found to be operating her motor vehicle with the insurance revoked. The vehicle was towed and the woman was issued a criminal complaint.

A Medford resident states while she was parked in the rear of Mass Avenue between 10:50 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. on 07/10, her 2012 Honda Accord was struck by an unknown motor vehicle. The operator of the suspect vehicle fled without making himself/herself known.

Vallina D Mims, 23, 1 Leighton Street, Cambridge, was arrested on Leighton Street for Larceny over $250. This occurred after Loss Prevention Officers from a Cambridgeside Place retail store observed her via CCTV conceal various items of clothing in her bag and pass all points of purchase. Loss Prevention officers followed Mims to Leighton Street where she was taken into Custody.

JFK ST
Nicholas Grant, 34, 87 Fayerweather Street, Cambridge, was arrested by Cambridge Police for Uttering, Forgery and Receiving stolen property after a Harvard Square bank notified Cambridge Police that Grant was attempting to cash a stolen check. It was determined that Grant was in possession of a stolen check and knowingly forged the check owner’s signature in an attempt to cash the check.

A Somerville resident reported to Cambridge Police that sometime between July 3 and July 5, his bike was stolen from Vandine Street. The victim states that he discovered his bike was being advertised on Craigslist but has been unsuccessful in making contact with the seller.

    Thomas Bavis, 43, Robert Gendreau, 47, and Theodore Pappadopoulos, 50, all from 240 Albany Street, Cambridge, were arrested for drinking in public. They were drinking beer in front of Franklin Street by a court yard. Cambridge Police placed all of them under arrest.

Cambridge Police summonsed a Boston resident after he was observed making an illegal left turn from Waterhouse Street to Massachusetts Avenue after police investigation found that he had an Expired Driver’s License according to RMV records.
