A resident of Inman Street reports that sometime during the overnight, while they were home sleeping, an unknown suspect entered their apartment by unknown means and removed two laptops and a female purse from the living room area. There were no signs of any forced-entry and residents do not recall if the apartment doors were inadvertently left unlocked.

ALEWIFE BROOK PKWY
Cambridge Police responded to a bank on Alewife Brook Parkway for the report of a Hispanic male attempting to pass a counterfeit check. Kevin Cintron-Tirado, 23, Bethlehem, PA, was placed under arrest after officers discovered that he attempted to pass a check valued at $6,750.70. A similar attempt was made earlier in the morning at another Cambridge bank location and the bank had been notified via an internal alert regarding this male suspect and his attempt to cash a bad check. According to the bank manager, the check had a signature that did not match as well as discrepancies with the billing address.

Lacora Jones, 20, 38C Crescent, Newton, was arrested after she was observed failing to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk (89-11) at the intersection of Magazine Street and Massachusetts Avenue. Jones was also charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (90-23) and use of a motor vehicle without authority (90-24).

Nelson Martinez, 44, homeless of Cambridge, was arrested for disturbance of a public building (which constituted a breach of the peace), possessing open containers of alcohol in public, and Assault and Battery on ambulance personnel. Martinez was observed by officers, screaming in a public building, while being actively combative with Cambridge Fire personnel. Martinez' actions caused patrons and staff to stop what they were doing and observe the spectacle. An EMT from Professional Ambulance stated that prior to officers’ arrival Martinez had squared off with her in a fighting stance, cocked his right hand back, and punched her in the left arm. Martinez was also found to be in possession of two open containers of alcohol.

Lilian Bobea, 55, 12 Henderson Street, Arlington, was placed under arrest inside of an Alewife Brook Parkway retail store. She is charged with Larceny over $250 after loss prevention officers observed her place $548.94 worth of merchandise in her bag and attempt to leave the store without paying.

Ebony Wesley, 21, 25 Staniford Street, Boston, was arrested by police for Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise after being detained by Loss Prevention employees at Cambridgeside Place. She was observed concealing women's clothing and perfume in her shoulder bag and exiting the store without paying. It was also determined that she had 2 outstanding arrest warrants issued by Boston and Cambridge District Courts.

A bag was found abandoned on a bench inside of Danahey Park. The bag, which had clothing and wires coming out of the bag, was checked by the Cambridge Police Explosive Ordnance Unit and K-9. The bag was deemed to be safe and was then removed from the area.
