The Cambridge Police Department, Boston Police Department and members of the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force arrested Richard Perry, 41, of 25 Bowdin Street in Somerville, late yesterday on multiple warrants. Perry was charged with the armed robbery of two Cambridge convenience stores earlier this week.

On January 20, a Cambridge Street convenience store was robbed of more than $700 by Perry after he walked behind the counter with a gun and ordered the cashier to put money in a plastic bag he was carrying. One day later, Perry walked up to the counter of a Walden Street convenience store and fled after the cashier gave him more than $100.

In addition to two warrants out of Cambridge District Court, Perry was also charged on warrants out of Taunton District Court.

Perry was arrested in Jamaica Plain, where he was apprehended by Cambridge Police Detectives with the help of Boston Police and the U.S. Marshals Service.

The details contained above are allegations.  The suspect is presumed to be innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
