2015 Police Innovation Conference Call for Proposals Now Open

The Call for Proposals for the 2015 Police Innovation Conference is now open and accepting submissions. Hosted by the Cambridge Police Department and WiredBlue, the 2015 Police Innovation Conference will take place October 5-6, 2015 at the Microsoft NERD Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This unique conference is designed to bring progressive law enforcement agencies from across the country together with some of the great minds in technology and policing. 

The 2015 Police Innovation Conference staff is seeking speakers, panelists and session ideas from progressive thinkers and leaders that feature innovative subject matter that is delivered in an educational way.  Priority will be given to proposals that are bold, cutting edge and present a unique perspective. To be considered, please submit your proposal by completing the 2015 Police Innovation Conference Proposal Form by March 31, 2015.  The contact names for accepted proposals will be notified by late April. 

The inaugural Police Innovation Conference featured an impressive lineup of speakers and panelists from cutting edge technological fields, including:  

  • Richard Falkenwrath, the Principal with The Chertoff Group and former Deputy Commissioner for Counterterrorism at the New York City Police Department
  • Mary (Missy) Cummings, the director of Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Humans and Automation Lab
  • Joe Rozek, Executive Director Homeland Security and Counterterrorism of Microsoft
  • Tom Phelps, director of Robotics Products in North America for iRobot

Agencies at the cutting edge of technology also participated, including:

  • Cambridge (MA) Police Department
  • Boston (MA) Police Department
  • Green Bay (WI) Police Department
  • Dunwoody (GA) Police Department
  • Metropolitan Police Service (South Africa)
  • Kingston (Ontario) Police Department
