Cambridge Police and Fire units were dispatched to the intersection of Cambridge Street and Line Street for an abandoned bag. The bag was checked by a member of the Cambridge Police Explosive Ordnance Unit with a K9. The bag was found to pose no hazard and was logged in at the Police Station as found property.

Cambridge Police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a tow truck and a parked motor vehicle. An investigation revealed that the tow truck operator, Steven R. Thomas, 24, from 32 Sunset Drive in Peabody, had a suspended driver’s license and a warrant for Firearm, Carry Without a License; Firearm and/or Ammunition without Possessing an FID card; Drug Possession Class B and Drug Possession Class D. Thomas was placed under arrest for operating with a suspended driver’s license and the warrant.
