A resident of Somerville reported that he was assaulted by a motorist who was angry with him because the victim was riding his bike in the travel lane delaying the motorist. The victim wasn't hurt and the motorist took off as soon as the victim called 911.

Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the area of Howard Street and River Street. The driver – Roland Edwards, 42, 16 Laurel Street in Cambridge, was subsequently placed under arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Cambridge Police responded to JFK Street for a report of a shoplifting that had just occurred. The suspect stole approximately $25 worth of merchandise. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

A resident of Watertown was operating a black Dodge Charger on Mt. Auburn Street above the posted speed limit. A short time later, it was revealed that the operator of the black Dodge Charger was operating with an expired Massachusetts driver’s license. The operator summoned to appear in Cambridge District Court.

A Brookline resident showed-up at the Cambridge Police Station to report that on 5/27 he was involved in a Hit & Run Accident at Mt. Auburn Street and DeWolfe Street after a taxi cab operator collided with him and then failed to exchange insurance information. The bicyclist was not seriously injured, but did obtain a possible license plate number.
