A resident of Upland Road reported that her apartment was broken into sometime during the day on Monday. The suspect gained entry by pushing in an AC unit that was in the window and exited through the back door. Numerous jewelry boxes were rummaged through and jewelry was stolen. At this time there are no suspects or witnesses.

Victor Mariscal, 24, homeless, was placed under arrest in regard to multiple outstanding warrants out of Boston Municipal District Court for Trespassing, Shoplifting by Asportation and out of Malden District Court for Attempt to Commit Crime. Cambridge Police received a tip of suspicious activity and a subsequent investigation revealed the warrants.
