Cambridge Police responded to Mass. Ave. for a report of an unwanted person inside of a store. Police arrived on scene and spoke with the store manager, who pointed out a black male who was beginning to pass out on a bench in front of the store was just inside of the store causing a disturbance. She stated he left the store and sat on the bench when she called the police. Officers attempted to speak with the man on the bench and they immediately noticed that this male was highly intoxicated. It was determined that this male could not care for himself, so he was placed in Protective Custody.

Members of the Cambridge Police Special Investigations Unit arrested Lawrence Mondello, 46, 185 Holworthy Street in Cambridge, for Possession of a Class A Substance (Heroin). Detectives observed Mondello engage in behavior consistent with a street level drug transaction. A stop on Mondello resulted in the recovery of two clear plastic bags containing a light brown powder substance consistent with heroin.

Cambridge Police assisted the Massachusetts State Police after ECC notified them that a 2004 Honda Accord had just been involved in a road rage incident in Boston, where the operator of the vehicle produced a firearm and pointed it at the victim. The suspect was later arrested by the State Police.

Loss Prevention personnel called ECC to ask for police assistance with a female whom they had observed and subsequently detained in their loss prevention office. Officers arrived and learned that the detained female, Jihane Haddadi, 24, 55 Fenway Street in Medford, was observed selecting clothing, jewelry, and a box of chocolates off of the store display shelves and concealed these items into her shoulder bag. Haddadi proceeded to the store exit with the concealed merchandise inside her shoulder bag. She past the last point of sale and made no attempt to pay for any of the merchandise then exited the store.

As a result, he was issued a criminal citation for the violations.
