A Boston resident was issued a verbal trespass order from a Central Square business after an employee of that business identified him as a suspect whole stole two bottles of wine from the store.

John Repetto, 55, homeless out of Somerville, was arrested at Mass Ave. for shoplifting and trespassing. Officers observed Repetto being pushed out of the business by an employee. After investigating, officers determined that Repetto stole two cans of beer and was trespassing after notice.

Cambridge Police responded to Massachusetts Ave. on a report of an unattended suitcase that had been there for the last hour appeared suspicious. It was later determined that the suitcase contained a fan, sheets and a strainer for dishes.

A James Street resident received a phone call for winning a cash prize. The caller said that she was required to make three separate wire transfers to receive the prize. The victim wired a total of $3,777.73 to three different addresses. She became suspicious after receiving another call on 9/10/15 asking for additional cash.

A Cambridge resident reported that while he was waiting at the bus stop at Prospect and Harvard Street, a suspect wearing a black hoodie grabbed the reporting person’s green and white duffel bag and ran off. The victim stated there was three bottles of prescribed medication along with his Mass. I.D., Mass. Health card and cash and clothing.

A call that sounded like gunshots was reported by a resident of Pleasant Street. Police responded and found no evidence of any gunshots. Earlier fireworks debris was located in the same neighborhood.

Cambridge Police were dispatched to an accident at Mt Auburn Street and Aberdeen Street involving a motor vehicle versus a bicyclist. The bicyclist was conveyed to an area hospital for treatment.
