MASSACHUSETTS AVE

Cambridge Police responded to City Hall for a report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, police spoke to the victim who stated he was punched and had at least one tooth knocked out of his mouth. Additionally, the suspect threatened the victim with a knife. Ernest Miles-Burens, 41, Homeless of Kansas City, MO, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Aggravated Assault and Battery, after it had determined he assaulted the victim.

Cambridge Police responded to an Ellery Street address to document a report of malicious destruction to a motor vehicle. The reporting person stated that an unknown suspect slashed her rear passenger tire to her motor vehicle on 9/17 as it was parked unattended inside of a Broadway garage.

Officers observed a suspect making an illegal U-turn onto Massachusetts Avenue at Shepard Street and after conducting a motor vehicle stop and querying the driver it was discovered that his license was suspended and that the motor vehicle was a rental car for which the driver was not on the rental car agreement. Ashraf Abdelrahman, 26, 47 Fremont Street, Somerville, was arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License and Using a Motor Vehicle without Authority.

After speaking to both parties involved, it was revealed that there was no crime committed. A warrant check was conducted on both parties and Eric Silvers, 44, 240 Albany Street, Cambridge, was arrested on two Warrants out of Boston Municipal Court.
