Man Dies Following Stabbing In Cambridge

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Robert Haas have announced that Tywann Jones, 35, of Roxbury, has died after being stabbed early this morning.

At approximately 1:40 a.m. Cambridge Police and emergency personnel responded to a reported stabbing at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge. The victim was attacked while waiting outside the 7-11 at 750 Massachusetts Avenue.

The victim was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.  The individual underwent surgery and passed away at approximately 4:40 a.m.

No one has been arrested in connection with this incident which is an open and active investigation.

This incident is being investigated by the Cambridge Police Department and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
